    Breathtaking Sela pass
    Breathtaking Sela Pass, the Gateway to Tawang

    Sela pass is a high altitude mountain pass, located between the border of West Kameng and Tawang district. It has an elevation of 4,170 meters (13,700 ft) to the Tawang town to Tezpur. It is a breathtaking place. The best time to visit this place is October, November, March, April, and May, as there are fewer chances of routes being snowed in due to snowfall. The place is open throughout the year. Tourists can experience a slice of heaven on earth in this place. The landscape of the high mountain range at Sela pass, with beautiful scenery of snow-capped mountains and snow on mountain tops, is breathtaking.

    Frozen Sela lake with a scenic alpine landscape is one of the main attractions in winter. Domestic yaks are grazing in the alpine valley near Sela pass.

    Jaswant Garh is 21 km away from Sela pass. This is a shrine to Jaswant Singh Rawat who posthumously won Maha Vir Chakra during the Battle of Nuranang of the 1962 Sino-Indian war.

    It is said that this brave soldier alone kept the Chinese soldiers at bay for 72 hours. Now, the Indian Government has built a memorial in his name where his statue has been established with the story of his bravery. This place is at a high altitude, so it is very cold.

    Jung waterfalls are one of the main tourist attractions of Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal Pradesh is blessed with the resources of the mighty Himalayas. Jung waterfalls are known by many names such as Bong Bong Falls or Nuranang Falls. The drop altitude of Nuranang waterfalls is about 100 meters. This spectacular waterfall is one of the USP of Arunachal Pradesh tourism.
