    Exploring Gorumara National Park

    Gorumara National Park is located near Lataguri in the Dooars region of West Bengal, India. This beautiful wildlife sanctuary is famous for its large population of Indian rhinoceroses, as well as its rich variety of other wildlife species. The park is known for its dense forests, meadows, and rivers that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

    The park spans over 80 square kilometers and provides a safe habitat for many endangered species. Visitors often enjoy wildlife safaris through the park, where they can encounter elephants, leopards, and various species of deer, including the sambar and spotted deer.

    Gorumara is a paradise for bird lovers too. Species like the Great Hornbill, Indian Peafowl, and Scarlet Minivet are commonly spotted here. The park is also home to several species of eagles and owls, adding to its allure as a bird-watching destination.

    Lataguri, the nearby town, serves as the main entry point for Gorumara. It offers accommodation options for tourists and organizes jungle safaris. The park is open from November to March, which is considered the best time to visit due to favorable weather conditions and increased chances of wildlife sightings.
