Chatakpur is a small hilltop forest village near Sonada in Darjeeling. Located inside Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of Kanchenjunga and surrounding Himalayan peaks.

The village is known for peaceful surroundings, sunrise viewpoints, and less crowded alternatives to Tiger Hill.

How to Reach

From NJP or Bagdogra, travel via Kurseong to Sonada. From Sonada, take the forest road to Chatakpur (approx. 6 km).

Best Time to Visit

Visit throughout the year except monsoon (July–September). Winter offers cold weather and occasional snowfall.
