Jaldapara National Park
JALDAPARA WEATHERJaldapara National Park is located in the Alipurduar district of West Bengal. Spread across 216 sq km, it is famous for the Indian one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, and rich biodiversity.
The park lies along the Torsa River and is surrounded by the Eastern Himalayan foothills. It was originally declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1941 to protect rhinos.
Jaldapara offers scenic grasslands, dense forests, and riverine ecosystems. Visitors can enjoy jeep safaris, elephant rides, and birdwatching.
The best time to visit is from November to May when wildlife sightings are frequent.
